About Us
The mission of StarsUganda is to provide rescue, healing and hope to abused and neglected children in Uganda. We work to provide our “Shining Little Stars” with a safe, healthy environment to live and grow. We fulfill the most basic needs of children with critical nourishment for their bodies, minds and souls. We love them, protect them and remind them they are worthy, priceless and deserving of the best start in life.
StarsUganda is a non-profit organization based in Jinja-Uganda. We operate under the umbrella of H.E.L.P. International, an NGO (nongovernmental organization) based in Colorado, with 20 years of experience focused on community development in Uganda. Our affiliation with H.E.L.P. International has proven critical in securing access to, and acceptance from, high-level government officials and religious organizations already familiar with the work of H.E.L.P.
H.E.L.P. International is our fiscal sponsor, yet we are a financially independent organization, meaning all donations come directly to the StarsUganda bank account. We are fully responsible for managing expenses and resources.

Primary Goals
To stabilize the children’s health and emotional distress by providing proper nutrition, health care, early childhood development, emotional and physical therapy in a safe, nurturing and loving transition home.
To ensure family members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide for their children upon reintegration.
To support the communities in protecting the lives of the children.
